Story-A-Thon is a platform given by Google to our kid who could be great authors who can express their creative writing skills. To help the judges understand the story better, you could also send a few self-drawn pictures by your kid, whose file size should not exceed 10 MB. Please note that the work should be original and not copied or reproduced from any existing story.
Google is welcoming stories from kids between 5-11 years of age.
Submissions have started from Sept. 8, 2020, at 12:00 PM (GMT) and will close on Sept. 30, 2020, at 11:59 PM (GMT).
Interested candidates can write their stories in different languages.
English, Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Spanish, Portuguese, or Arabic, whichever language they are comfortable with.
Steps to be followed to participate in Story-A-Thon:
Step 1: Download Read Along by Google. Step 2: Go to the Story-a-thon section and read the stories curated by the British Council. Your kid then gets to answer some fun questions! Step 3: Write their own story and submit it by clicking on the button below.
The theme of Story-A-Thon is “How Will You Make the World A Better Place.” The maximum word Count for Story-A-Thon is 350 words. There are other important things like Judging Criteria, Disqualification Criteria, Helpful Tools, etc. which are important to participate in the event.
