The Vice President launched the ‘Heartfulness All India Essay Writing Event’ organized by Shri Ram Chandra Mission in partnership with the United Nations Information Centre for India and Bhutan. This event is held every year to commemorate the United Nations International Day of the Youth between the months of July and November.
Shri Naidu lauded the initiative and said that such events stimulate the younger minds and enable them to think positively in their lives. He expressed happiness over the fact that this is a multi-lingual event with entries invited in ten major Indian languages in addition to English and hoped that in future all Indian languages will be included.
The All India Essay Event being held for 28 years now is a truly commendable work by the team of Heartfulness in promoting the awareness for value-based education.
The essay is being organized into two categories i.e. Category 1 and Category 2. Essays may be handwritten in black or blue ink or computer typed in black in Calibri script in respect of essays in English and relevant script in respect of essays in Hindi and regional language. For all options, only Font size 12 should be used.
Category 1 is for school students from class 9th to 12th.
Topic of Category 1 is Thought Population – root cause of all ills. The word limit is 500.
- 10th October 2020 is the last date for the submission of essays to institution.
- Selection of Top Five Essays by the institutions: 10th October 2020
- The essay is open from 19th September 2020 to 10th October 2020 only.
- The result of the essay will be declared in the month of December 2020.
At the National Level the essay is being organized in English and Hindi language, while at the Regional Level any one language from Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, and Telugu as per state wise eligibility list.
