Ministry of Minority Affairs committed to students of minority community
[New Delhi] Sri Naqvi, the Union Minister for Minority Affairs stated that the Central Government is very serious for providing quality education to the children of the Minority Communities.
Shri Naqvi said that the in past four years, the Central Government is successful in providing scholarships to more than two crores fifty lakh students belonging to minority communities.
The National Minorities Development & Finance Corporation (NMDFC) is working under the aegis of the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt. of India for serving the minority community. NMDFC has extended the support under their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme to Delhi United Christian Senior Secondary School. On 4th August 2018, the NMDFC has helped the school by not only refurbishing their Computer Centre and but by also providing water coolers with in-built RO system.
On this occasion, Shri Naqvi addressed the students and appreciated the initiative of NMDFC in reaching out to schools and extending the needed support to students and schools who deserve such facilities. The Minister restated the Government philosophy of “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas”. Shri Naqvi also asked the students to avail the educational support schemes provided by the Ministry of Minority Affairs & other Govt. schemes.
Mohammad Shahbaz Ali, CMD, NMDFC who was also present, informed that NMDFC under its CSR programme is extending a helping hand to children of disadvantaged groups in acquiring knowledge of Computers, to fulfill the vision of Digital India. He also appreciated the efforts of the School Management in extending the education to disadvantaged category students.
Shri Santosh Kumar, Principal DUCSSS expressed his gratitude to Shri Naqvi and NMDFC for helping & visiting the school and gave assurance that it would help the children in keeping abreast with the computers & information technology.
