MHRD to have Student Pavilion at the Aero India 2019
Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Ministry of Defence (MoD) and Ministry of Civil Aviation have decided and announced a competition for students to exhibit their products/concepts/ innovative ideas on aerospace technologies at Aero India 2019 to be held from February 20 to February 24, 2019. The five-day long event at Air Force Station, Yelahanka, Bengaluru is expected to be attended by a large number of visitors including exhibitors from the World’s leading industries in the field of military and civil aviation.
This is the first time when a 'Student Pavilion' will be put up at Aero India for students to showcase their projects on aerospace-related activities. On 22nd February, the day will be observed as ‘Technology Day’, when students will be given an opportunity to showcase their projects.
This year the theme for the exhibition is Application of Aerospace Technologies for the Betterment of the Billion lives (AABB). Students, involved in the aerospace sector, both civil and defense, are required to submit their concept note for participation in the exhibition.
MHRD is going to accept the concept note from students till January 7, 2019. The Ministry will scrutinize and shortlist projects on January 14, 2019. Shortlisted participants will have to submit the detailed project report by January 24, 2019, after which a selection committee will announce the finally selected projects on January 26, 2019.
There can be maximum 4 members in the participating team, which 1 member as a Team Leader. The team would be assisted with boarding, lodging, travel and local transport and local support in the display of the projects during the Aero India program.
The proposal must be forwarded to the ministry through the institute or a faculty member of the institute where the students are enrolled.
