ISRO is carrying out many outreach activities to spread awareness about the benefits of space technology. The Organization in his latest move will allow people to watch the launch from the spaceport of India. ISRO has prepared a visitor’s Launch Viewing Gallery at Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota, with the current capacity of 5000 spectators in the first phase. In the second phase, the capacity will be increased to 10000 spectators.

The Launch Viewing Gallery is in the form of a stadium and placed at an appropriate location with a clear line of sight to the two launch pads. This facility is going to be inaugurated tomorrow, on 31st March 2019 by Mr. Kailasavadivoo Sivan Chairman, ISRO.

Apart from the Launch Viewing Gallery, large screens are also positioned to explain the intricacies of launcher and satellites visually. Besides, pre and post-launch activities will be telecasted and explained through these screens to the viewers.

How to reach:

Nearest Railway Station: Sullurpeta, which is 18 Kms away from Sriharikota. Limited Public/Private Transport is also available from Sullurpeta to reach Sriharikota.
