A drawing competition is being organized on Children’s Day by the Department of Posts. Selected entries will be used to design the Postage Stamp and related Philatelic Material to be issued on the occasion of Children’s Day 2018. Any Children of India studying up to 12th standard is eligible to participate in this contest.

Important highlights of the Children’s Day 2018 - Stamp Design Competition

  1. Last date for receiving entries: 15 October 2018.
  2. The competition is will be conducted in two categories:
    • up-to Class VI
    • Classes VII to XII
  3. The theme of the competition is “Communal Harmony”. The participants are required to make an original design on this subject (should not be a copy of the picture painted by someone else).
  4. Participants are required to write Name of the participant, Age, Class, Gender, Nationality, Full and complete residential address with, Pin Code, Phone/Mobile Number, E-mail ID (if Available), legibly on the reverse of the design.
  5. The design could be in ink, watercolor, oil color or any other medium (Computer printed/ printout will not be allowed).
  6. The design submitted should be such as can be depicted on the stamps in a visually appealing manner so as to be of interest to philatelic collectors
  7. The design to be sent through “Speed Post” only, in A4 size envelope.
  8. The participants should mention “Children’s Day 2018 - Stamp Design Competition” on the envelope in which the drawing is sent.
  9. The prize money for Children’s Day 2018- Stamp Design Competition for both the categories is:-
    • 1st Prize: Rs. 25,000/-
    • 2nd Prize: Rs. 15,000/-
    • 3rd Prize: Rs. 10,000/-
    • Consolation prizes: Rs. 2,000/-
