CBSE Vocational Exams to be held in February 2019
[CBSE] According to the latest press release on 26th April 2018, CBSE Vocational Exams and related subjects shall be held in second half of February for the ensuing 2019 Board exams of Classes 10 and 12. Examinations for all the Core Academic subjects, such as Languages, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Economics, Business Studies, Accountancy, Economics etc., will continue to be held in the month of March at the external examinations centers fixed by the Board.
CBSE offers Skill Education (Vocational) subjects
- 40 in class 12
- 15 in class 10
There are other subjects like Typography and Computer Applications (English), Web applications, Graphics, Office Communication, etc. which will also be included in February examination, in view of their larger practical component and shorter theory papers. As per the press release, the subjects for which the exams will be held in February and in March will be notified on the CBSE website.
The Board offers over 240 subjects for class 10th and 12th Board Examination. In class 12th, the only compulsory subject is Language, while in class 10th the compulsory subjects are Languages, Mathematics, Science and Social Sciences. The CBSE Class 10 and 12 students can choose any combination of subjects in addition to the mandatory subjects as per scheme of studies.
