CBSE counselling begins for Class 10, Class 12 Board Exam 2019
In order to help students and parents cope with the stress of Board exam, CBSE has started pre-exam counseling from 1st February. The Board has been doing this from last 22 years consecutive year.
Board is providing psychological counseling services to guardians, parents, and students who take the board exams be it, Class X or Class XII. The programme is designed as part of the board’s outreach programme which caters to the heterogeneous students’ and parent’s population and the vast geographical network of schools.
The Psychological counseling began on 1st of February and will be continued til l04th April, 2019 to help students overcome exam related anxiety.
CBSE has opted following models to deliver the counseling to the students/parents/guardians etc.
- On-line counseling – e-mail support
- Question – Answer Audio Video presentation on the website
- Comprehensive Audio Video presentation on the website
- Tele-counseling (In and outside India)
From this year CBSE has introduced the new facility of IVRS on a toll-free number 1800 11 8004. Students can obtain pre-recorded information along with frequently asked questions on the toll-free number 1800118004.
Using tele-counseling, principals and trained counselors from within the CBSE affiliated schools located in and out of India are volunteering and providing services free of cost.
The experts will also answer queries of students through weekly question-Answer columns to be published in major national newspapers during the month of February.
Total 87 counselors are participating in the programme, with 65 counselors in India.
