Bhasha Sangam initiative to facilitate students with 22 Indian languages
Ministry of Human Resource Development, Dept. of School Education and Literacy, Govt. of India is running an initiative Bhasha Sangam under Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat programme. The initiative is meant for schools and other educational institutions to provide multilingual exposure to their students in Indian languages listed in Schedule VIII of the Constitution of India. Through this programme Dept. of School Education and Literacy will be able to provide a simple but effective learning opportunity for the students to enhance linguistic tolerance and respect and promote national integration.
Objectives of Bhasha Sangam:
- To introduce school students to all the 22 Indian Languages of Schedule VIII of the Constitution of India.
- To enhance linguistic tolerance and respect and promote national integration.
According to the CBSE notice, schools can conduct various activities and upload videos of the daily activities on Bhasha Sangam YouTube Channel. The Department of School Education and Literacy, MHRD, Govt. of India will recognize and award the best schools, based on the uploaded videos.
